Course Goals  
1. Contrast plant cells with animal cells.
2. Identify at least ten practical uses of roots and contrast the differences between leaf types.
3. Diagram and label a dicot and monocot seed and describe the metabolic systems in plants.
4. Explain the features of meiosis and mitosis.
5. Identify plant names and classifications.
6. Discuss principles of plant genetics.
7. Distinguish the basic differences between flowers, fruits, monera and fungi.
